Georgia O'KeeffeMarch is Women’s History Month in the United States and March 8 is International Women’s Day. During March, we take time to honor and celebrate all the contributions women have made to our society, both past and present.
Take some time today to say thank you to the important women in your life! Before I became a teacher, I worked in an art museum. So, some of my favorite women from the past were artists and writers. You can see art and clothing by one of them --Georgia O’Keeffe-- at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. https://www.pem.org/exhibitions/georgia-okeeffe-art-image-style Did you know that the Peabody Essex Museum is always free for Salem residents and children 16 and under? If you work in Salem you get free museum admission on Tuesdays through Fridays and EBT card holders also get free admission for two. Plus, you can always get free or discounted Museum passes with your public library card.
