Mass STEP is the new name of the ACLS program that unifies the Integrated Education and Training and the Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education programs under a single name and shared mission.
This is accomplished by leveraging collaborations among education centers, job training programs, and employers to build innovative concurrent education and workforce development opportunities for adult learners.
MassSTEP envisions a statewide network of pathways that prepare adult learners for promising careers with dynamic Massachusetts businesses.
At NSCAP, we currently offer an Advanced Manufacturing/Skilled Machinist class in collaboration with Essex Tech and Mass Hire in the North Shore area.

At NSCAP, we currently offer an Advanced Manufacturing/Skilled Machinist class in collaboration with Essex Tech and Mass Hire in the North Shore area.
As part of this multidisciplinary training, students hone their machining, math, metrics and other related skills needed to succeed in the field. Non-native English speakers have ESOL support both in class and the workshop.
Thanks to advising and MassHire involvement, students also receive career exploration and job search support.
